1 You are having a new home built.

And although you have virtually no precipitation from May to June in say, Estepona, Benahavis, San Pedro, Marbella or La Cala de Mijas, you still need to make sure that your house or apartment is well adapted to the warm climate.

First the good news: the climate on the Costa del Sol is not comparable to that of Western European countries. You enjoy the sun here much more than anywhere else, let there be no doubt.

– the older houses or apartments are, the less resistant they are to moisture
– when plastering interior walls, treating exterior walls, laying floors and installing roofing, preventing and avoiding moisture has never been a real priority
– even new houses are not always equipped with a well thought-out water treatment: it goes without saying that we do ensure that water is properly disposed of and, if possible, recycled
